| The Gilles rearsets have proved a nice buy, have done about 100 miles since I fitted them. They generally shift the position of the feet upwards and backwards, however they are fully adjustable to suite your riding position. The position is very sporty and are less comfortable than the stock items as you need to stretch the legs more often. That said they give a much sportier feel. The gears seem to click into position in a much more precise fashion than before
Installation is generally very easy requiring only basic tool like Alan wrenches and screw drivers. The rear brake side is a little trickier, watch that you calibrate the switch for the rear brake light correctly or you could be in trouble. Also ensure you set the height of the rear brake lever to allow for ease of operation. Asthetics are excellent, I chose the gold items that match the bike quite well, however might not look great on a blue and white bike for example(titanium available). The carbon fibre heel plate looks great to, the sets are bulky looking and very well engineered with a good finish. The solid non retracting footrest are quality. |
